Health care providers have always been clear about the fact that smoking is bad for you. In fact, most doctors will practically beg their patients to quit smoking for several reasons. Tobacco smoking increase your risks of cancer, heart disease, stroke, and blood clots. Smoking cigarettes obviously also affects the mouth, throat, teeth and the rewspiratory system.

Some health insurance companies won’t even cover a smoker because of the increased risk for serious problems. If you do smoke, you will undoubtedly pay a higher price for health insurance coverage.

Electronic Cigarettes Do Not Emit Any Smoke

That’s not smoke coming out of the e-cig user’s mouth. It is harmless vapour – coloured water vapour.

But that hasn’t stopped others, usually non-smokers, from moaning, making remarks, waving their hands in their faces and coughing at the sight of the vapour from the electronic cigarette.

Contrary to all the dangers these people talk about (and the frightening report issued by the FDA in America) it turns out that Propylene Glycol is not only harmless, but actually has beneficial qualities too.

Propylene Glycol is the chief ingredient and the carrier medium of the liquid nicotine used to refill cartridges and cartomisers of electronic cigarettes. How Safe is the Electronic Cigarette To Use?

The electronic cigarette, or e-cigarette, is a singular product that uses a lithium ion battery and a small heating element called an atomiser, to vapourise a solution into a vapour that may be breathed and exhaled. This resembles traditional smoke. The difference is that there is no combustion, just vapourisation. This eliminates any tars and any second hand smoke normally associated with cigarettes.The new smoking laws prohibiting smoking in public places define smoking by referring to “ignition”, “combustion” “smoke” and “tobacco”. By these definitions the electronic cigarette is exempt from the new restrictions and can be used in public places. Obviously there are other benefits too, like no smell, no fire hazard, no mess and no smoke.
